Organic Teas
Da Hong Pao Oolong O.P.
Da Hong Pao is one of the most famous oolong teas in the world. It comes from the famous Wuyi Mountains in the Fujian Province of China. It is one of 5 ‘Rock Teas,’ meaning the teas are grown in more rocky areas making the mineral content in the soil much denser. This is what gives the 5 rock teas their signature flavors. This very full bodied tea has a roasted flavor with a very particular sweetness to it and is reminiscent of baked goods or molasses.
O.P. (Orange Pekoe)
is a high quality grade whole leaf tea that does not usually contain tips and consists of many whole, thin and wiry tea leaves of a uniform size. Usually harvested when the end buds open into a leaf.
Yellow Pu-erh
Pu’erh is produced in the Yunnan province of China, and is a unique and unusual slightly aged tea that is famed for its medicinal qualities. This tea is generally aged for 6 months to 1 year, and approximates the result of the long aged Pu’erh tea process. It is unusual because unlike other teas, it uses an accelerated fermentation process called The Wo Dui (wet-piling) process, which involves piling, dampening, and turning the tea leaves. This process ensures even fermentation. Pu’erh is the most oxidized form of tea and can mellow and improve with age like fine wine. It produces a dark red liquor with a full-bodied, earthy taste.
Jasmine Green
This Organic Chinese Green Tea is combined with jasmine, creating a fragrant combination. The green tea leaves are dried with hot air, and fresh jasmine petals are placed in front of the fans, thus the tea absorbs the jasmine fragrance. This tea will produce a cup that has a floral aroma and flavor with a liquor that is lightly sweet and very smooth, making this tea a sensual pleasure to drink.
Sencha Green
Sencha Tea is made from the first tender emerald green leaves of the tea plant. The leaves are harvested in early summer then steamed, twisted, and dried. While fresh and bright, its flavor is bittersweet with a hint of an ocean breeze, and has a clean finish.
Ceylon Black F.O.P.
White Peony
White peony tea is picked early in the season when the buds are still fresh, young and tender. Because of this early picking, the taste white tea produces is very mild and sweet without the sometimes astringent qualities of regular green teas. White peony tea consists of beautiful, full length leaves, and young buds which produces a perfectly balanced cup. While the name of this tea can be a misnomer, it should be understood that it is embodied with hues of green and oxidized brown, with delicate white “needles” to lay the final touches.
Earl Grey Black
This blend unites our full bodied black teas creating an exceptionally rich black tea, fermented to perfection, with a touch of citrusy bergamot oil, creating a light refreshing taste. This combination creates an ultra fine tea where precision and process gives birth to this much revered beverage. While Earl Grey possesses the delicacy and nuance of flavor to the be enjoyed on its own, it’s also beautifully accentuated with a slice of lemon and goes well with citrus or buttery flavored pastries. It can be served hot with or without milk or sugar/honey, and is an excellent drink for any time of the day.Â
